Hello all. Sorry to be asking sucih a simple question, but I am having a bit of difficulty with figuring out what class I might be in when I start going to some events.

I bought a Miata with the following modifications:

Suspension: Flyin Miata V-Maxx XXtreme stage 2.0 suspension Track pack. (includes: Flyin Miata performance sway bars front and rear, RacingBeat adjustable end links) Flyin Miata shock tower brace.

Wheels: Kosei K4R 15X7, 205 width tires

Also has aftermarket radiator and fans, and muffler.

From what I can find, it looks like I might fall under Street Touring class, but I also plan on adding a roll bar, changing seats, and upgrading brakes (probably going to bigger oem brakes)

Am I guessing correctly on class, or is there something that might push me to a different one?

Thanks

Matt

Also considering some chassis stiffening, like FM frame rails, possibly butterfly brace, unless those are against the rules.

Your car is currently in STR if it has a Torsen and STS if it has an open diff or a viscous rear end.

Aftermarket radiators were not legal in ST until this month when the rule change for 2015 was announced allowing aftermarket radiators as long as they are no smaller than the stock radiator.

If your radiator is smaller than the stock unit, your car will be in CSP.

If you do the bracing you are talking about, that will move the car to D-Prepared.

No Torsen yet, good to know on that.

I am not sure of stock size radiator, will have find out that to verify.

Thanks for help, I will have to figure out what can and cant be done, and get out and have some fun.

What year Miata?

if it's a 90-93 and you want a Torsen, straight to CSP with you. Just FYI.

Miatas of all flavors are ridiculous fun at an autocross

Its a 99 base, keeping an eye out for a 4.3 to swap in, but its not like I can't have fun until then.
