Call from the Scion Dealer. Filled out sales contract. Delivery date first week of June.

Price all- in sitting in the drive is $3090. I wanted sub 30, but what the hell close enough.

Lets hope the handling is up to the hype.

At least from the Scion side, there does not seem to be any rush to buy the car.

I saw a BRZ in person this past weekend and it was fabulous!

I've not been super impressed with the pics but in person the car is awesome. The sculpting of the body and the way the fenders bulged out made it look fast instead of just cheap.

The interior was actually pretty nice as well.

I'm presuming the Scion will also look better in person than it does in the pics.

Hopefully GRM gets one before June...I cant wait that long for honest feedback

Over $30k? Ouch. That's used-Elise territory.

Wait, the car was supposed to start at $24.6 or something. TTL isn't that much, how is it optioned to get to $30k?

$30k is used, nice shape C5Z06 with spare wheels, trailer and Hoosiers. Or a nice gently used C6.

I believe he is in Canada...

Which apparently doesn't help much since the two dollars are pretty close to the same.

No no that's actually great news. $30k in Canada works out to low-$20k range in the US. Even though the currency is about the same.

actually, it'll be mid 20's then if he is in Canada.

People.... you got to let us know these things!

Isn't NoHome in Canada? Cars here are a little more expensive than in the US. The FR-S starts at $25,990 CDN. Add in $1500 for freight and 13% taxes can easily push it to $30K with no options.

For comparison, Miatas start at $29,000, Genesis Coupes start at $26500 and 2013 V6 Mustangs start at $23500.

You know... if all you people freaking out about his price would just look at the Scion website...

I just test drove a 2013 Mustang GT that was under 30k.

When I price stuff between the US and Canada (using Detroit area and GTA dealers) on new car sales, typically it's $2-5k difference. But it's very model dependant.

I agree that it's too much. But I have never paid more than $20K for a car, so my sense of cost is skewed.

Scion homepage says $24,930 base MSRP...I assume that's for the stripper model.

I'd agree if I didn't live in a hot climate. Need that life support system.

I don't think there are any modern cars built without A/C these days.

UNless it's some non-existent at the dealer $7k Hyundai with crank windows, no radio, etc.

The FRS stripper model has no AC, although it looks like it won't be available at launch:
