Hi all,

I know there are quite a few Cleveland-area GRMers, so I'm hoping someone might have a contact for a car scrapper in the area.  In about a month I'll have a rolling shell with title to get rid of.  I will need someone to come pick it up.  Any leads, or am I best off just looking for Marketplace or Craigslist posts?

Thanks!

What kind of rolling shell?  Any meat still on the bones?

In reply to John Welsh :

It's a PT Cruiser.  Pulling engine, trans, electrical and fuel systems.  Body is in awful condition, and I don't plan on keeping any interior stuff short of the gauge cluster and dash wiring.

Should be able to make it go away pretty quickly on CL

I too was going to suggest that if there is still meat on the bones, a CL ad can make it go away pretty quickly.  But, I do not think the world will beat a path to your door for PT Cruiser parts.

Scrap the catalytic converter separately.  It is likely worth more than the whole remaining part of the car.

I had a car that needed scrapped in Cleveland put a listing on craigslist and it was picked up in 1 to 2 weeks. I did not have a title, he said they just cut the roof off and was able to scrap it.

I found a guy on Facebook Marketplace to come haul the shell away.  He bought it for $75 and came out on a Saturday with his flatbed.  I can pass along the name if anyone else is in need.

I found a guy on CL.  He showed up with a tow truck, gave me $150 and took the car away.
