1993 325iS

No transmission. Donated its limited slip differential and M50 intake manifold to my $201X Challenge car project. Is there anything else that's valuable?

steering rack can be sold to e30 guys....we like the quicker ratio. Can usually get a hundred bucks for a used one or so.

Door seals for a coupe are $$$Texas if purchased new.

Interior front door panels in good shape are in short supply, most have self-destructed.

ABS pump?

How rusty? I can't tell for sure but is it a slick top (no sunroof)? If so the shell or the roof might be worth something to a racer.

Where would you advertize the parts? BMWCCA magazine(no experience; just joined BMW club)? craigslist(maybe take a trade for a dying half-breed puppy or a stolen cell phone)? ebay? GRM classifieds(I've never had anyone answer a single ad, much less sold a single part on there - but maybe BMW stuff is magic)?

Obc is an easy pull and if all the pixels work can be 50-100 bucks. (18 button is more valuable). Window regulators need replaced frequently, and if the gauge cluster works its another easy pull for $50.

Radiator, water pump, thermostat housing are all worth something if they aren't broken.

If it has manual sport seats hold on to them. Electric sport seats are OK too.

Craigslist the heavy stuff, and ebay the rest.

For ebay, set free shipping and choose a minimum starting amount that covers shipping. I am almost always surprised how much the auctions get up to.

Finally, grab all the relays and fuses and keep them in your garage. Maybe the headlight and high beam bulbs too. Nice to have a spare at hand of that kinda crap. Goes for random clips and such too, but those are harder to grab out.

I recently went looking for some used DSM shocks for a crazy idea I had. Found exactly what I was looking for - a set of 2nd-gen AWD springs/shocks/mounts, $10 and $25 shipping. Well, huh, that seems awfully low for shipping. Bid on it with a $25 maximum bid.

I was the only bidder. $35 immediately went from my Paypal to theirs. Then... nothing. No communication for two weeks. I was just about ready to e-mail them asking what was up, when I got a notice from PayPal that the paymet was reversed and the $35 was put back in my bank account.

Odd.

Seller had a bunch of other DSM items for sale, with bids starting at like 99 cents, and NO BIDDERS. Also odd.

Last week, I went searching for a pinion flange for a 9" Ford. They're not terribly common since most 9" had straps and yokes, but I knew they existed because my T-birds had them. New ones $125, Found ONE guy who had used, $50, had five of them, had to e-mail him to get shipping quote. By the time he got back to me with a quote, the auction had ended and he didn't relist any of them.

And then there were like 10 of them on eBay. $40 shipped for the one where the sealing surface was photographed, should see it on Tuesday...

advertise the steering rack on R3vlimited, the biggest e30 forum. It'll sell pretty fast probably.

I want the steering rack, I'm pretty close by to you too (I think at least)

Shoot me a PM with what you want for it. I paid $40 for my last one, but they do generally go around $100 depending on condition.

Selling a used E36 radiator is like selling someone a free certificate for a blown head gasket.
