So over the years two screws have gone missing from my simple Racequip 2010 open-face helmet:
I tried to order some, Racequip has some hardware packages, a little $$ but what the hell:
I ordered 202111 from Amazon, but the screws are larger versions of the ones I need:
Top is what they sent, bottom is one of the remaining that I need more of.
Any ideas where to get more of the smaller ones? I tried contacting them by email, no reply.
Can you fab together what you need from the parts bins at the hardware store?

I tried all the specialty stuff Home Depot had, nothing worked.
I lost mine and discarded the visor. My 15 year old son didn't like me driving with no visor so he took it upon himself to fix it. He used 1/4 inch bolts and a LOT of washers. I look kind of like Frankenstein but it worked just fine. And i'm old and married so I didn't really care what I looked like.
Try a local hardware store like an ace or true value. They usually have more fastener selection. You could also look up fastener suppliers in town but they usually have minimum purchase quantities. Sometimes they'll take care of you though.
Looks like what you bought is for a flip up visor.
Just got my helmet in yesterday. I don't know if they are the size you need, but it came with 2 screws for those back of the helmet threaded holes. I can send them out to you if you need them/want them, as this helmet will never see a HANS system or anything like that. I can't imagine they changed much in hardware from SA2010 to SA2015.
Visit your local motorcycle shop.

Hm maybe, I'll see if mine has the same mounts and try the screws I have. The one's they sent were longer and a larger diameter.
It's two of these ones. They were in the bag with the instructions, no idea what they are for. Feel kinda plasticky.
Roughly 7/16" long and 3/16 in diameter. I don't have a thread guide that I can find to give you that info.
Edit: just saw your comparison photo. I'll send you these no problem if you think they'll work, but I'm not sure now seeing the ones you need.
I doubt the threads are terminally unique. Find a screw with that thread pitch and start there.
Find a narrow washer or an o-ring that is small enough to fit over the screw and just large enough for what you need. If anything. I looks like there is actually nothing on the lower or smaller screw.
You'll likely have to cut the screw shorter with a hacksaw. No big deal. Then dress the thread with a swiss file to shape it nicely.
If you have to make the head of the screw smaller, chuck the screw up in your drill, then hold it against a file or some emery cloth to reduce its size.
Have you tried calling Racequip? Sometimes actually talking to a human gets things done.
I hate those things. My $600 Stilo helmet promply broke 2 of them almost immediately. IIRC I just foudn some short M5 bolts in my toolbox and used those to replace them lol.

I thought of that after I resent the email w/ photos after I got home. I'm going to try tomorrow.

I called at lunch yesterday, got a human on a very noisy speakerphone. What I really needed is this, and it includes a new visor, which mine has cracks anyway: Summit link
I might be able to get it locally from US Racing Gear, if he gets his open-face helmets today or Monday. Would be nice to have for TNiA Tuesday night. Otherwise shipping seems to take awhile from other sources.

My Bell helmet sheds those bolts like a hairy dog. I'm always careful when I take it out of the bag, so I can catch them before I drop them on the ground. The bolts are cheap, but they want a ton of money for the special tool that actually fits the head.
