I'm taking off in about three hours. I'll be there Friday to check out the course and the cars and just be silly. If any of you are going to be there, look for the little silver Mazda2 with the red arrow on the hood and the GRM stickers on the side. That's me.
Good luck to everyone competing this weekend!

I know a few friends are there. I have plans for next year. Good luck to all.

I've already blown my out-of-state-rallycross budget on the S/E divisionals in Tennessee Good luck

Me?
I meant you won't see ME at nationals this year. I was answering the thread title.

Gotcha. I just told SWMBO I have my goal to enter next year, she thinks it's awesome. I need to marry her soon.
I'll see someone there you lazy buggers! As much as I like that it's 8 hours from home this year, I do hope it moves again so that the east coast group can come play more easily.
We're chilling in the America's Best right now. There's at least one other rallycrosser here and a scadload at the hotel next door.
16 hours on the road for me, although we did a lot of screwing around like eating in restaurants instead of throwing crap food down our faces while shouting angrily at the people in Missouri who can't drive (which is a lot of them, although some of the peeps were pretty cool) Also experienced geocaching.
Hey, it's supposed to be a trip, not just a transit, right?
edit: Evan and Chris are here now too. Bourbon supplies dangerously low.

I will say hi. At the CountryInn now with fellow New England contingent.
I'll be driving in stock rear. Lime green v6 Mustang.

You guys have fun! I am hoping to make it next year. My current setup is just too jank to go to nationals.

That thing looks badass!
(I'm driving a regulation-spec Blue Subaru this time around)

The Mustang v6 is a handful, especially with the all seasons. Not fast at all, but boy is it fun!

I spend a lot of time steering lock to lock...while going straight. Slowly. And with a big smile.
The AE86 is pretty sweet, too.
And EVERY SINGLE TIME the Bug launches and the exhaust does its kabang-kabang thing, I involuntarily jump and spin around to see what did that. Doesn't help that my worker station is directly behind the starting line. (I'm "Scanner", even though the scanner is broken, so it's more like "Traffic cop to stop people long enough for the timing trailer to see the number")
Now I know what it was like for everyone else, back when I used to use an ignition cut launch control... And speaking of which: Evan: Your plan worked. Occasional 4' long tongues of red when you shift...
Dori leaves the line with some major thunder.

Video from the slowest car at 2013 Rallyx Nationals -> http://youtu.be/a_6aL3f-xKc
300hp, RWD, and all-seasons do not mean particularly fast times, but it sure was fun. Next time, I will have tires at minimum, if I don't tow/drive out a competitive car.
Awesome video, understeer, we don't need no stinkin understeer
