The Oz hemi is very different from the slant, including bore spacing. Probably as much work as the cut-up heads above.

An ancient issue of Car Craft had an article about visiting some large musclecar-type meet in Australia and had a few articles about the cars, one of the blurbs said that the Aussie Chrysler sixes had Hemi heads on Slant Six blocks.

I probably saw that same one since I got a little obsessed with the Aussie Chargers before there was an internet. Ended up making a long-time pen pal with a fellow there who was importing and exporting, though, so that's a win.

The Oz motor was an abandoned US truck design that the Australians picked up and ran with. Vertical instead of slant, AFAIK no major /6 parts exchange although I think some LA parts like pistons do in the larger variants. Pretty cool.
