Self Parallel Parking Car From The 1930's Using The Spare Tire

Wife showed me this from Facebook. Can't understand why it didn't catch on. 

I’ve seen that before and, yes, also a handy want to do donuts. (Hey, y’all, watch this.)

Love that the fifth wheel also got a hubcap and white wall. 

You know, I wonder how well this could be packaged nowadays. I imagine it never caught in back in the day because it likely took up a lot of space, but I think building something like that today could take up a lot less space.

Of course, a lot of cars can parallel park themselves these days...

This is the automotive equivalent of putting your forehead on the end of a baseball bat and spinning around a few times. 

To be clear, it IS the spare tire.

It's funny how that video gets rediscovered every year or two.
