So for the GM LSX motors, there's HPtuners (and EFI Live?) where you can do your own modified tune for the stock ECU. twin turbos? have at!

I have an 01 mazda b2300, and would like to be able to do similar w/ the stock computer. I know there's SCT, but it seems like you can't do the tuning yourself unless you drop $400 on the software on top of the $400 for the tuner box. Are there any other options out there?

Thanks!

Moates Quarter Horse is popular with the Supercoupe crowd.

I thought the moates stuff was only for earlier systems. Tried to look it up but wasn't able to confirm. Been frustrating..

The link I posted says it works on up to 2004 stuff.

It depends on the stuff.  Last I checked, Moats ran only up to the EECV modules (basically acting like an old interface we used to have, which is pretty neat).  But in the 1998-2005 time range, module types, and how they were interacted with, changed a lot.  And given that the 2.3l Duratec was a brand new motor, it also got a brand new controller.
