Is it culturally incorrect to paint a small four-door 70s car with a Mad Max MFP paint scheme, if it isn't actually an XA Falcon?

Because I found myself suddenly in possession of an awesome small 1970s car of the four door variety and it needs to be painted.
I have narrowed the ideas down to either this, or white car/black hood with Gartrac style fender flares.
Car will absolutely, positively be rallycrossed.
By All Means, Yes, Punish It.
Does it look vaguely like an XA Falcon if you squint? If so I think you're cool.
If I ever got my hands on a 4-door Maverick that's how I'd paint it. Other cars, well, it depends on how much you have to squint to make it look right.
I say do whatever you want to do for the simple fact that you wrote: “it needs to be painted.” and not “it needs painted.”
Thank you for that!
What car? I xan determine whether or not it would be blasphemous without that knowledge.

Well, yes: It needs to be painted because it needs paint. ![wink wink](https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/static/ckeditor/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.png)
It's currently barfulous blue with some surface rust and very minor perforation, and some dings and dents that need repair.

It's Japanese, so it looks kinda like a box on wheels.
I think you should be punished for even thinking you needed to get permission to paint your car any way you want.

Well, I'm GOING to do what I want, but I don't WANT to do anything regrettable, like an orange Cavalier with 01 on the doors.
I'm still driving teh S60R on a temp tag because I can't decide on what to get for a license plate, and paint is a lot more permanent than a plate. (Also there is no way to make "Screaming Viking" legibly fit in seven characters)
I may modify the BRE stripes onto my 67 Camaro. If that's not sacrelige, I don't know what is.
I love the Main Force Patrol paint scheme and I double dog dare you to do it. ![laugh laugh](https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/static/ckeditor/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/teeth_smile.png)
I like MFP and that might be okay (car unknown)
If it is this brand of Japanese then TRD is awesome to me.

Even if you just incorporate elements of TRD that can be cool too like this...

In reply to John Welsh :
My avatar isn't just a cool image.
I'll admit, I don't know what your avatar is. Looks to me like part of a VW Beetle hood.

Am going to commit a slight breach of etiquette and skip the Triple dare and go straight to the Triple Dog Dare ![devil devil](https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/static/ckeditor/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/devil_smile.png)
What 4 door was rotary powered???
In reply to Dusterbd13 :
I can think of exactly one but I don't think he went and imported a Roadpacer.
EDIT: Roadpacer would look good in MFP colors though.
RX-2s, RX-3s, and RX-4s were available as four doors.
Those rxs would look good in that scheme
In reply to John Welsh :
I too love the TRD livery.
But honestly the mad max livery would probably work too- depending on what car it is...
AHH, I did not see Bridgeport coming....but I like it!
So, back to MFP. Rotarys are amazingly popular in AUS so combining with MFP could be solid combination.
As for car, I'm hoping for a Gen1 Mazda 626 with a rotary swapped in (like should have always been.)

While looking for other Mazda racing examples I stumbled on this which is just a little bit of white away from being very MFP inspired.

Ha! That's awesome.
It's a twin dizzy RX-3. (Trivia: It's been in a barn since 1979. I am the second owner. The title in my hand was issued in May 1973) I'm thinking it will get the '84's engine after I rebuild it. If 280hp and 10k RPM is good enough for Rod Millen's four door RX-3 then it is good enough for me.
