Makes sense...everybody over there has a dashcam 'cause all the cops seem to be soliciting bribes. That's when they had the asteroid strike they got it recorded.

Also tons of insurance fraud.
yea.. I have seen videos of the insurance fraud... like the guy who threw himself into a passing truck to claim he was hit
Still a scary video
Mercifully quick way to go.
These dash-cams make me alternate between wanting to visit these countries and really really not wanting to.

This is the real reason for Russian dash cams.
Back in the days when I drove tractor trailer nation wide, a driver I worked with had this happen to him. He did nothing wrong, but he still has to live with someone's death just because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Just one more reason I quit driving.
That is how i feel when i have to drive around bicyclists on the road. Hit rock, fall over, i kill them, whoops. Also have to replace bumper and scrape skin pieces off my car. Ewww
In reply to ncjay:
I can most certainly see that. It doesn't matter that the person may have done something incorrect or stupid. If you were involved in the person's death, it will haunt you for a long time.

I must be weird, then. Stupid bastard pulled in front of us and we T-boned him at 65mph. He died on the way to the hospital. I felt bad about it when I found out in the hospital (because I assumed he died on impact) but I can't say it's "haunted" me.
A co-worker's husband is an OTR driver who was driving at night on a two-lane country road, when a driver in the opposite lane fell asleep and drifted into his lane. This being Florida, we do not typically have shoulders; pine forest typically stretches to a runoff ditch just outside the road's outer white lines. The other driver died on impact... Sources say that the deceased driver had pieces of himself get into the rig's cab, including his head.
