I just got my coilovers installed and set last week on my S2000 and will be heading out to the track this weekend. Wondering if folks out there could give me some advice on setting the clickers on my coilovers?

Have the RE11 tires on and based on previous testing with my stock suspension know roughly how much PSI to run.

The coilovers only have 6 or 7 adjustable clicks to them (PHEW!). I know that having too stiff a front in relation to the rear will cause understeer, vice-versa but how do you guys figure out how many clicks to go to up front and what works best (with a particular set of tires?)

How do I know if I have the fronts are set too soft or too hard? Same goes for the rears?

Is there a best practice I should follow?

Advice much appreciated!

Start soft and stiffen them up until the springs are under control and the car stops floating. Voila. I think too many people over-damp their springs.

Then play with them some more. That's the best way to learn, after a bit of experience you'll start to get a feel for how the car feels with too much front or too much rear. Remember that the shock settings won't affect the feel of the car once it's settled into a smooth sweeper, but will show up more in corner entry and exit.

The number of clicks depends on your shocks. Some have very small gradations, some are much larger.
