I need some help figuring out what to do here. I picked up a Torsen LSD for my 1995 Miata. However, the pinion nut was off of it because the pinion seal had been replaced. I am now figuring out why it was a deal, because setting the pinion nut requires either knowing its former position, which I don't, or starting from scratch with a new crush sleeve which requires tools & knowledge that I don't have. Nobody in my area seems to work on these things. Anyone ever dealt with this before?  I would be happy to toss the pumpkin in a box and ship it to an expert to have the work done, if such an expert exists. Or I figure it out myself, whcih seems like a lot of work for one diff. Or I walk away and find another one.

Where are you?  That may help a bit.

Look up "driveline service" in your local Yellow Pages and take it there. They'll probably think it's from a Toyota pickup, but there's no magic special sauce in the thing.
