I have a 97 civic stock other then adj. coilovers I use for autox. I would like to start using it for rallyx as well. My plan is to raise the coils for ground clearance and take it to my first rallyx. Any other changes I should consider for setting the car up for rally?
Where do you live? Rallycross sites can vary drastically between regions.

I'm in SW Florida the rallyx is held on the east cost tho.
I know some of the guys who rallycross down there. Apparently the usual venue is pretty flat, with a crushed coral/abrasive surface. Seems like it's fairly smooth there, but apparently tires don't last very long. From what I've seen in vids you'd probably be fine around stock height.
EDIT: not sure which club you're looking at, but I'm referring to CFR (central florida region). If you're on facebook, here's their page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/CFR-Rallycross/226310670727034

Yeah that's the club I'm looking into. I have been told the same thing about the tire wear due too the crushed Coral surface. Hopefully it doesn't eat tires up so fast I go broke tho I'm just running cheap all seasons at the moment. I got a little one on the way so racing budget has been cut drastically. Thanks for all the great information Irish
No prob. A/S should actually last longer than snow tires (harder compound). I think they were saying that snow tires were only good for a couple events before they were shot.
I hear you about budget. I have 2 little ones. And run a couple chump races a year in addition to rallycross and other car projects. It's tight.
If you're on FB and can find him on that page, talk to Colin Rodgers. He's one of the e30 guys that runs down there and can give you good information.
