Amazing what modern wheels and an aggressive drop can do for the overall look of a car...

I think the overall look of that car is good, but I don't find the RPF1 to be a particularly attractive wheel design. I like the RPF1 mainly because it's light, reasonably affordable, and comes in many diameters/offsets.
I think the Maverick is proof that Ford built some of the ugliest cars on the road in the 70's, but that actually looks good. Really good.

100% agree.
And I think that car looks pretty good.
Better than the GTV6 all these people keep trying to pawn off as "beautiful" lately.

You need to get your eyes checked if you think the GTV6 is not beautiful.
I like Enkei rims. I have had several sets over the years.. light weight(ish), strong(ish), and cheap(ish).. it's a good combination. I am glad they are finally putting pretty rims out again. I would love to see them put the RPO1 back into production
I like it! I did this photochop a couple years back trying to get a bit of that JDM-USDM look for a guy over on pro-touring.com:
But looking at both cars, I don't so much think of them as JDM or USDM, but just nicely modified, which I think both cultures enjoy.

I like it! Then again, I love the Pro Mod movement..they all look like classic Trans Am cars to me (when they're done well..and that Mav certainly is).
Hotlinked for your convienence:
It looks really good, but I would expect it to be pretty underwhelming to drive. There are better options than cut springs and lowering blocks.
I love Mavericks. Never understood why they didn't get more respect. I'd have stuck with the original tail lights though.
There's a slight chance I have a photo of it somewhere, but when I used to go to Bridgehampton--1988-'92 or so--there used to be an early, dark green Maverick running in EMRA GT1. It looked pretty tough even tough--dropped, big wheels and that small-block Ford exhaust note.

I like those tails on it.. At least they did not round on it
As the only magazine I'd consider to tie GRM, CarCraft said it best:
"Mav' it 'til you can't Mav it no more"
