She hate me. What do ya do when the Magazine publisher insults you and calls you a dick???

Yes, a dick. That is what I was called in case you all missed it. Not sure why this woman has such a problem with me. Here are some ideas I have on what to do.

1.Be glad it wasn't worse, like being called "Dickhead" or "Dick meister" or ______. 2. Ignore it? 3. Complain to the moderator? Oh, wait.... 4. Actually go to the challenge (for once lol), look for Margie, try to talk with her in soothing tones. 5. Go to challenge; bring calculators and Bob from Accounttemps to review "the books". 6. Never, ever, I repeat ever, comment on someone else's thread? 7. Enroll Margie in etiquette class???

In all seriousness, I love the Challenge and I look forward the Challenge magazine issue! To assume that there has never, ever, ever been any creative accounting in the course of any Challenge is contrary to the entire history of racing, however. The cars are cool though and the amount of effort is phenominal.

Too late for two...which is what I'd have suggested. Or 8. Recognize the amount of their blood, sweat and tears has gone into creating what is "Grassroots Motorsports", including the efforts they put into running an event that arguably defines the magazine more than any other....and don't E36 M3 on it.

If Margie called me a dick... I'd probably have a moment or two of self-reflection.

I'd say you're probably right about 2, probably would have been the best course of action but really now, if someone walks up to you and broadcasts to (fill in the blank # of people) anyone on here such nastiness, would you be ok with that? Regarding 8, no one E36 M3ed on anything and to say that I did is just wrong. The only time Margie gets nasty is seemingly with me. I really don't pay any attention though, does she get like this with anyone else or does she have some kind of weird, personal fixation on me???

I love the magazine, love the whole idea of the magazine, I post on the forum all the time. Feel free to check out my other posts. Its just weird to have someone who owns the magazine be so thin-skinned and feel the need to start bashing someone who says something she doesn't agree with it.

Feel free to pile on though, the last time Margie unloaded on me she openly encouraged Plance1 bashing.

A personal attack like that would not be tolerated by anybody else on this board, and she knows that, so I doubt you've heard the last of it.

There is an employee of the magazine that has caused me some grief, and did something not very professional at the challenge, but I just ignored it.

The fetal position may be your best option in regards to the Challenge. You obviously touched a raw nerve the first time.

I managed to have a certain publisher threaten to having my legs broken.

Get over it. This is the Internet. What you are reading with great seriousness could have been an off hand comment that she may not even remember and not really care about.

Mr Publisher and I settled the disagreement with a bet.. . .. And I lost LOL I was a man of my word. I purchased the 10 year script!! Best bet I ever lost!!!!

I'm going to recommend letting go and moving on. Barring that, try settling your differences with an individual on an individual basis. The alternative is worse.

I'm locking this thread and going back to work. There's a big event this weekend, and our staff is very busy and under some amount of stress.
