A friend would like to buy one of the two RD400 engines I've recently acquired.  I have no idea what they weigh but they're certainly more than UPS limits.  Suggestions?  U-Ship?  It's about 600 miles.

UPS/Fedex weight limit is 150lbs. It has to be marked as over 75lbs so that two people pick it up. Are you sure its over 150 lbs?

I am pretty sure I shipped a GSXR engine to Robbie via Fedex.

From what I see online, that engine is around 90#.

I've had a number of bike engines shipped to me in the last few years, all 2 stroke singles and twins.  I think the only one that shipped through USPS was an Ossa DMR motor that the packager just ratchet strapped to a milk crate (what an ordeal that was).

But, yeah, an RD motor should fit comfortably inside the FedEx/UPS weight limit, no freight needed.

I had one of the snowmobile engines for my F500 shipped and it came via UPS in a small tub. It's been years but 90lbs for a RD motor sounds about right.

My motorcycle buddy typically gets engines in hand built wood crates.
