Shipping a Car from Hawaii

How can I get a car shipped from Hawaii to Indiana and not a boat load of cash?

Why?  This is why - $500 Jaguar XJR

Every thing I see is a minimum of $1k just from Hawaii to LA or Seattle.

Do you know anyone who works for a rental car business.  All the cars that get shipped there for rental get shipped back to the states when they reach their age/mileage limits. If they didn't get sent back to the continental US they would swamp the market for used cars there. And since the ships that brinsg cars there are empty why not just take back the "old" rental cars back?

I was just asking that question while in Hawaii last month.   Roughly $1800.

Container ships don't care.     Coconuts and pineapples leave Hawaii.

Watch out for rust, last time I was in Hawaii it seemed that every vehicle that was not a rental was rusting apart.

Well, all this info pretty much confirms my initial thoughts: Ignore all cars on the island.

I would just move to Hawaii.  Think of the savings!

You used to find that any cars that had owners that lived near the ocean had rust issues while the ones that lived higher up were fine.  Modern rust proofing should have changed that a bit
