My 2015 RAM 3500 is nearing 85,000 miles and is starting to behave like it's time for new shocks so I'm looking for recommendations from the hive.  I'm looking for something that will produce a decent ride (for a 3500 series truck) without sacrificing towing ability.

The truck is stock hight and I'm not planning on changing that.  I don't want anything I have to adjust when I hookup and unhook a trailer so if I have to sacrifice some empty ride comfort for towing capability that's what I'll do.  I don't want to say that budget isn't a factor but it's the smaller part of the cost vs function equation.

Thoughts?

I run Fox Racing on my 2010 Dodge 2500 paired with rear airbags. Similar use to yours, other than the fact that I did get a deal because we're a Fox Racing dealer for a very specific application. The airbags let me run the softer 2500 rear springs and still tow comfortably.

I use the PERFORMANCE SERIES 2.0 SMOOTH BODY RESERVOIR (yes, it was easier to just copy/paste). The ride quality is good enough that Janel asked me to replace the Bilsteins on her Grand Cherokee with Fox after that. Truck is extremely stable while towing with an overall weight of 20k or so. No regrets at all.

Another vote for Fox here.

I went Bilstein 5100's on my 2017 Colorado recently and it was a night/day change in ride quality and stability. I also added Sumo Springs "black" for the diesel model to help keep the rear in check/at height when towing. So far they have not been intrusive at all and do give a bit of a rear sway bar feeling when turning(less lean). For the price through AJ USA the Bilsteins was a steal. Sumo Springs were bought directly off their website and they offered 10% on any first time order.

I set the front to 1.25" over stock(struts are ride height adjustable with a snap ring), rear is at OE height w/ the Sumo Springs. Ill be towing a trailer w/ car here in the next week or two so ill really get to see how much it sags or if the Sumo Springs can keep the ride height at an acceptable level.
