Thank you for posting. I had suspected that the ECS would be the better of the two, with the price being the only reason for considering the Firehawks.
With the original version of the ECS on sale (although I have to compromise on size, and it will depend on when they were made), I'm going to order a set.
So far I'm still happy with the 500s. Drove home in pretty heavy rain after work yesterday and had zero worries on I-75. The test-n-tune autocross a few weeks ago was fun, even in the cold morning. Only spun once.
Now the 944 needs tires and they seem to be a not-very-popular size (staggered too). My options are limited, might wait until next spring. 225/50-16 F and 245/45-16 R only turned up a few results on Tirerack this weekend.
How is road noise on the ECS vs 500?
