Oh dear, I don't need another project...
But a friend has a 1960 Cadillac Deville flat top. I've just got a sweet spot for vintage American metal.
But here's the truth... I REALLY don't need another project. If it's gonna sit around, I just can't.
But, if I could flip it...
It's a partially disassembled, but totally complete car. He drove it into the garage 4 years ago, and started working on it. He is now ready to move on.
All the trim is excellent, but off car. Interior is out of the car, but newly professionally restored. Original 390 engine and Jetaway trans- both run and are still in car, that's all I know. All glass is perfect, but removed from car. He's got every screw, nut and bolt bagged and labeled. Floor pans replaced, surface rust only, just about ready for paint. And I've got a guy who does great painting very cheap.
What say GRM?
What's a project worth? What's a decent finished Caddy worth (without too much crazy custom work)?
Paint and reassemble. I'm a sucker for a project and that sounds as lego friendly as they get.
4 door flattop they do not sale as good as the coupes not even close.... i see really nice examples for 10k and have seen them as high as 30k. i wouldn't go out of my way to own one
If you can get it cheap enough to adequately cover what you feel your time is worth to flip it, then I say go for it.
Everybody needs a big cruiser.
Shave, paint, bag and drive.

Shave, paint, bag and drive.

I'd buy it, but I don't have a garage long enough to store it
You shouldn't.
Unless you really want to.

I only wish I were pimp enough to roll like that...
limited market appeal. how long are you prepared to have your money tied up in it?
but why tie up your money at all? will he pay you to assemble it for him?
