I ran across a pic the other day, I believe it was on these forums, but I can't seem to find it. Anyways, I've seen some pretty creative switch labels over the years. Rocket launchers, oil spill, ejection seat, etc.
Anybody have any creative dash toggles?
I have an emergency cutoff switch installed in a hole in the quarter panel of my race car that isn't hooked to anything. I didn't want to leave the hole... so I just labeled it "Cowbell".
"Torpedos", with the active position labeled "Arm"
This is an old shot - now it has "lasers" instead of "lights up".
I had a bomber switch in the P71 for wig-wags. Unfortunately I never labeled it.
Mini gave out stickers matched to they stock style with the oil slick ejector seat etc. with their cars.
My friend has a BBQ switch in his Pikes Peak car.
Cheesy as is sounds a guy from work has a switch labeled "Swag" in his LS swapped Fox Body.

I like this. You could have another one labeled "WTF".
I labeled a dual EGT gauge on my dash with Turbo Boost I and Turbo Boost II, just to see if I could get one of my vintage racing friends to freak out about me "cheating." I don't think anyone has ever noticed.
Also have a "No Spins" warning label stolen from an aircraft. That one is for me.

This is not really on-topic, but my dad used to be big into RC planes. He had a friend that made insanely detailed flying model Corsairs. The guy did complete interiors including photo etched dashboard plaques. He had the whole cockpit done except one thing down near the pilot's knee he couldn't get a good picture of. So he made a tiny label that said IF YOU CAN READ THIS YOU HAVE YOUR NOSE TOO DAMN FAR IN MY AIRPLANE.
Wow, that was a long way to go for not much.
I have always wanted to build a series of lights... tied the the Throttle position sensor or something...
Ya know.. Light speed, ridiculous speed, Ludicrous speed..
I always wanted the last red digit of my tachometer to say "Bang!".
Years ago, we had a little explosion graphic at 30 psi on our boost gauges.
Not switchgear but is going on my turbo motorcycle..
Not a switch label, but in the same vein (and also where I got my avatar from):
Years ago one of my friends repainted his faithful Yamaha FJ1200 sport bike. Same scheme as the original but with subtle pearls or flake in the factory colors. To complement it I made up reproductions of the factory warning labels with different messages like "do not ride without swingarm installed" and "CAUTION: Always ignore posted speed limit. Always wear your helmet." My Mustang has one of the speed limit / helmet stickers on the back of the driver's visor.
2013 Lotus F1 steering wheel:
Once saw a car in an online mag with switches labelled Lasers, Phasers and Tasers. I figure headlights, maybe fuel pump, and ignition power?
A funny idea I heard once was to label a dummy switch "Chuck Norris/Jackie Chan." I'd imagine people would switch it and expect a difference
I think I'm gonna label my boost gauge "Chuck Norris"

in a couple of years, that will be as dated as the scalloped paint jobs of the 80's are today..
This is the switch panel in the Pikes peak car.

The Nitrous switch on our Challenge car is marked " GOOD --- EVIL "
