This thread makes me miss my 2002 that I sold for a bit of nothing because I let it sit for almost a year without working on it.

I also hate working on cars. I rarely change my own oil (the cost/time benefit isn't there, yes yes grease monkeys working on my car and all that)
That's why I have something new as a DD, so I'll have JUST enough patience to work on something.
If I could "afford" to have someone do all the work to the Miata coming up I would.
My rebuild E30/S52 BBK, suspension rebuild kind of killed me on it. I should have broken it up into smaller projects that I could still drive after each one, instead of all at once an the car being down for 8 months.
for the deathscort... when we got it 4 years back it took FOREVER to warm up... I assumed the thermostat had failed... didn't really care as it didn't overheat and didn't effect drivability...
when I did the timing belt a few months back I decided while I was actually doing some work to it (all i've done to this point beyond that was fluid and brake stuff) that I would do the thermostat... required moving a bunch of little things (coil pack and such) to get to the housing... and naturally one of the bolts broke off getting the housing off (that required the "weld a nut to it" method to remove)... anyway the old thermostat came out in 3 parts...
and like I said... only took me 4 years to get to it.
