In preperation of pulling the engine out of my Classic 900, I have spent the day labeling, taking pictures of, and pulling out all the wires and plumbing that keeps the engine and turbo happy.
I was surprised, but not shocked, by how many of those vacuume lines were cracked or just pulled apart in my hands.
In an effort to keep the car reliable on the long run, I want to redo them all in silicone.. can anybody recommend me a site to get good hoses at a good price?
I think there's a place that advertises in The Mag. siliconehose something or other dot com? I bought a turbo coupler hose from them some years ago.

cheaper, tougher, more resilient are stick heater hose for big rigs for the bigger stuff, otherwise smaller heater hose usually works. The stick heater hose usually has working pressure of 70-90psi @ 250-300F. I've had problems with silicone couplers on all our tubing for our FMIC on the XR4Ti where they would rub on something and burst easily, just food for thought...
I am more concerned with vacuume lines right now. They are all over the engine compartment and some of them are in some high heat areas..
Couplers are easily replaced later when I go from side mount to Front Mount
If you are replacing lines that will see positive pressure and you're going with silicone, be sure to clamp every connection--that stuff is slippery! I swapped out some lines on my turbo RX-7 with pretty silicone hose, and every time I'd romp on it, a hose would come loose!
I've gone back to black rubber hose. If you buy silicone hose, buy the good stuff. The cheap stuff sux.
