Grab any 6 volt horn from a car back in the days when they had 6 volt batteries and positive ground. Put 12V to that sucker, and you WILL get attention. My '49 Plymouth's 6V horn wakes the dead in the cemetery the next county over.
Couldn't find any 4-note Caddies- it is hard enough finding anything remotely old these days. Did find an old GM with two horns (F and A), so may try and find at least another to make a nice chord.
G Note, sold new, for your third note.

I think you can still buy the 4 note setup new from GM, it was installed well into the 90s on the B/D body.

There is something about the high pitch on the FIAMM horns that just grabs attention
I found a D-note horn cheap on eBay and picked it up. I actually ended up with two 'A' horns (picked up a F/A pair and a lone one that was unmarked and ended up being an A), so I may do some fiddling with one of them and see if I can change the pitch a bit to add a bit of discord to the mix so it's even more jarring and noticeable.
I read this thread then prompty looked on Pull-A-Parts website to price a horn. Cheap.
I decided to do this horn upgrade as a proof of concept and for fun. Well, it works and it was fun. The Saturns factory horns croaked a long time ago and my dad had an old Klaxon horn so that went on. It was alright but nothing crazy. A cheap upgrade was needed.
Stopped at the Pull-a-part with my brother and got four notes off a Caddy. (hint: they are in front of the front tires tucked way up and under the hood against the inner fender ish area)
Came home, welded an ugly bracket to hold all four and wired it with a relay to the battery. I used the Saturn horn wiring to power the relay. At this point i looked at the aforementioned Klaxon horn and decided what the heck and wired that into the 4 pack. The only downside is that its bulky and underhood of the saturn is squished already so thats a downside to this.
So now its running 5 horns.
The sound it loud and big for lack of better words. The chord made by the horns really get attention NOW! The loudness is more-so then the original but not so loud that you give heart attacks and seizures to others.
The tone is mix between train horn and tug boat? Its grand!
So, two thumbs up from CarKid.
What caddy did they come from? Do any of the newer fwd cads have the 4 tones or is it just on the rwd fleetwood? My local u pull it has tons of Devilles and the like but no rwd caddys
So wandering around the u-pull-it after getting what I wanted for the Blazer I came across a moderately-old Caddy and decided to take a look under the hood- and lo and behold, it had all 4 horns! Unfortunately when I got them home and tested them only three of them work- and the kicked is that the one that doesn't work is the 'D' horn- which is also the only one that I didn't already have one (or multiple) of.
So- I either need to pick up that missing note horn (looks like I can get it for $15 from eBay) or just make do with the three other ones, which should be plenty loud on their own.
