My next tow vehicle will almost certainly be a GMT800 Silverado, Sierra, or Suburban. That said, is there any reason to want an SS other than the lower suspension (lower loading height ftw!) and the appearance bits? Can they fit the 16" wheels from the other trucks? Anyone own one?

They are 6.0 AWD (maybe a 2WD variant as well) and suck fuel like its going out of style. If I was going to pay the 6.0 tax I would be driving a 2500HD since the economy will be the same and you get all the HD chassis bits. If you just want something for going to Home Derpot, a Silverado SS would probably suffice, but so would a Ford Ranger.
