If anyone runs across a BMW e39 6 cylinder manual wagon in silver, grey or white, and could let me know I'd be immensely appreciative.
That'd be a 528iT or 525iT,
I'm in the DC area but I'd go about anywhere for it.
Also - does anyone have experience w/ the steptronic auto trans in the later e39s?
I'm aware these are, for the most part unicorns - but I keep running across them - generally about a day late.
Thanks!

That must the one automatic sold in the EU.
I'd really like one of the 17 manuals sold in the US
I loved my 99 for the 13k miles I had it; it was blue though....

Hey, that'd be great - I could visit family and have a car to drive around before shipping it back here. If only it were that simple...

Hey, we can make this happen!
Not only will we let you stay at our place, thus saving you the cost of a hotel, but I'll volunteer to drive the car (cost free) until it meets the 25 year exemption requirements to get it back to the states.

I think he wants a manual.
Which is a pity, because it looks like somebody just renewed the an ad for a 540 wagon.

I'm going to drive 6+8 cylinder cars in automatic to see how bad it is. I heard the later cars had "Steptronic" or as I'd guess it's referred to here, "Steptragic'...
So we'll see. Perfect world I find a silver over black 2003 525iT manual sport for under $10k around 100k miles. Wish...
Ho-leee crap.
I found "The One".
Hits every single mark, except it's an auction and there's always the offline conversations that result in ended auctions. So I'm being proactive in that regard.
It won't be cheap if I manage to make it happen - but it's spectacular.
Wish me luck, and do me a favor and if you see the listing - and you'll know if you do - and don't share it here.
I'll report back as details emerge.
