What differentiates a Skip Barber NC Miata school car from a Playboy Cup car and who built these cars back in the day?

In for more info as well. I'm gonna say the skippy is hammered on more. Especially if it was a school vehicle.

The Skippy cars did race in the playboy cup for a couple seasons as its own class. They had adjustable shocks compared to the school cars but I think the school cars were upgraded to PBC specs after I raced in the Skippy series. School cars had BFG street tires and the PBC had BFG slicks. Not sure of other differences since it was 10 years ago for me.

If it's a school car, any school, I bet it's had (at least) a lot of minor fender benders.

Ever seen what a pro driver does to a car in a spec race? ;) I don't think you can hammer harder. You can hammer more clumsily, though.

Sorry, don't know the details on prep for the school cars.

I know a few people here in ATL who bought the Skip cars whem they went out of business. They have all been fast, well prepped, reliable cars. That's all I got.
