I've got myself a situation.. Guy offered me a trade for my 1992 5spd Legacy turbo sedan and in exchange, I would get this Polaris 800cc Pro-X sled.. He's got it listed for a lot more than my car, now I just want to know if you've got any experience with these, and any opinion of what it's actually worth?
And the scooby in question..
Your Subaru is worth less than 3500? Do you need a snowmobile?
They are super fun, but if you aren't going to use it, it's worthless.
I've had a snowmobile for one half a winter. Lots of fun, but not a really usefull machine. Darn sure wouldn't pay $3500 for one, or the trade of a Subaru for one.
If you're thinking about making money off it, remember, he's wanting to trade because no one will pay him for it. They probably won't pay you either.
True enough guys.. this guy lives 200 miles from me.. where they get real snow. where i live is like comparing alaska to florida.. hah.
In order to get your money out of that sled you are going to have to sit on it until next Nov/Dec/Jan. Are you willing to tie up your money that long?
That sled is 9 year old next year. $3000 is probably realistic, but it would have to be in great shape.
