This week it's all about NASCAR here in Daytona. We're not going to the races but we're planning to to visit friends at one point. If it counts as "car stuff," we'll probably drive there in something cool.

Track days at PittRace, go kart racing Saturday night.
Thinking of checking out a GCR autocross tomorrow. The Vette isn't quite ready(and I definitely don't trust driving it 45mi each way on 10-year old Hoosiers) so I'll just be going to spectate or possibly assist.
Autocross on Saturday and taking most of my TR6 shell for blasting/priming on Monday.
Co-worker going to Pitt tomorrow for a track day, myself I'm staying closer to home and checking out the Subaru Rally Team display at a local dealership and grabbing some free swag. They're showing off the cars before next week's GRC event in IN.
Then it's off to a friend's place for free grub & pool. (I sense a theme here.)

Staring at my cars, wishing i could drive more than half a mile without some &$@&$@ trying to run me over, occupy the same space as me at the same time, or be too busy playing Snapchat to bother going within 10mph of the speed limit.
I really miss when driving was fun instead of a way to put me into a white hot rage, and it seems like it's getting worse daily.
Might head up the the Ziptie drags, might work on the challenge truck. Might just stay inside, since it's going to be humid and hot and stormy this weekend. Will definitely be going out to see Baby Driver.

The Great Race is passing through several communities in Michigan this weekend. Frankenmuth today. There's mile long drags (I think) and an air show at the airport in Battle Creek, too.
It is going to be nasty outside this weekend so I may resort to sorting parts and tools with AC blasting.
Since im not attending the zip tie drags (stupid central air) im working saturday and monday. Closest ill get to car stuff aside from work is driving to my dads on the 4th if the weather doesnt suck.
Fix my VW GTI - new intake cam, high press fuel pump. Also, maintenance - timing belt, water pump, clean intake valves.
I'm hoping to have the following done by the end of the 4th of July break:
-Complete brakes on the wife's Mazda 3
-Rear shock mount replacement on that car (one of them broke this week, so I'm guessing the other one's on its way out)
-Exhaust system dropped on the Sloppy SAAB (and maybe replaced!)
-Take a stroll through the junkyard looking for neutral safety switches to rebuild for said Sloppy SAAB
-Try and get my minibike working enough for some 4th of July hooning
-Peck away at the Trans Am a bit
-Oil change and tire rotation on my Dakota, and figure out what the ungodly front end noise I heard the other day was

then autox on a road course with the daily rx8. not sure what class it is and I dont care so I registered under XPL :)

Hope all goes well for you and the Nelson clan tomorrow, since y'all should be able to dominate the event, as long as you get by their BS inspection. I'm leaning on not going, as that's a long drive on iffy weather just to spectate, especially since I still need to be spending time getting things done at home.

Root beer float, hiking near the Kankakee river, Polka Dot drive in for a late lunch and a few Route 66 stops near I55. Gemini guy......nothing big - a bit low key.
