Came across this, can't stop laughing...

Can't afford this car anymore. Willing to sell it to someone who wants to drive it. It's out for repo, but if you take it they won't know where to find it. Anyway, because of that I'll sell it for cheap. Would like to get $1800 but I'll negotiate with you! Good price for a great car. No problems.

I don't know the law in the US or Texas, but I would say one or more person(s) are going to jail if it sells.

Do you really want to piss off a repo guy?

And would deserve to. Who would buy a car and not get a title? How would you register it? You'd essentially be given the seller money for a stolen car.
It'll be hilarious if this thing turns out to have a GPS tracker hidden in it.
A decent repo guy should be trolling craigslist. This could be an easy couple bucks for Christmas.
That's like me selling my neighbor's 69 Chevelle SS.
It's not mine to sell, but I'll sell it to you for $2500, I know were the keys are and his work schedule.

Wanna know the dumbest part of this equation? It costs on average $800 for a repo--that includes the repo fee and the auction fee. About $600 for a voluntary repo. He will still owe the money no matter what (short of bankruptcy), so he is on the hook either way.
That car is probably worth about $3,000 at auction. So he's trying to get $1800--if he just called the bank, did a voluntary repo and they sold it at auction, he'd probably get about $2000-$2500 applied against the loan, and be in a much better situation.
What a dumbass.

Did you expect anything else from someone who'd buy a new Dart?
Show up in a pickup truck with a stinger.
Just, wow. I'm pretty sure just placing the add with that info in it is a criminal act. Instant karma if the repo guy or the bank finds the add and rolls up to get the car and invites the cops to come along with a DA's order to prosecute. And then puts the video of the repo/arrest on the youtubes

Wonder what his reaction would be if he was owed the money, and the car was disposed of this way.

The ad is probably not illegal. Acting on anything suggested in the ad might be.
Incredibly enough, I have seen a similar ad before.
Hey similar subject: what if you take over a person's car loan? Can you make payments on something that's not there's anymore? Technically the bank has the title. So they couldn't sell it to you. If you paid off the loan the person paying might only have a bill of sale. How's that flush out in the legal toilet?

True! More than likely he is upside down on his loan. Who would pay more than the car is worth to get the title?

"$750 and take over payments"

A 2015 Dart with ~25k miles is worth $3k at auction? Ouch!

Closer to $6K, but that does not make it much better
He should let them repo it, They have to hold it 30 days before auctioning it. If you call on day 25 they will work a deal and you can buy it back for pennies on the dollar.
The offense the placer of the ad is proposing is Hindering Secured Creditor >$2500<$30000. It's a state jail felony in Texas, so that's about a year in a county jail. To sell a car with a lien you have to get a lien release from the creditor!
