I was writing about brakes for the Classic Motorsports site. Specifically, what many people call warped rotors.
But I know the truth. I read it in GRM. I edited that story.
So I quoted something I edited 20 years ago. Felt a little weird....
And here’s the Classic Motorsports piece about brakes: Why warped brake rotors are technically not always warped.
I had something similar happen to me.
I was trying to find some information on a car I was researching, only to find a GRM forum thread I started a few years ago.
I almost hotlinked a hotlink I hotlinked in the Death scooter thread. I found the pic on Google, and thought it looked familiar.
And then it was all "Thanks past me, for doing present me a solid!" Copy/Paste, assignment done for the day. Go for a drive in the Porsche.

Oh I hate that.
Welcome to the world of A.D.D.
I routinely obsess about things to make the Datsun faster and then realize it will make little to no difference, wait 18-24 months and do it again. Only to find a thread I started here.
It at least speeds up the cycle of obsessing and coming to my senses.

At least you found the older information was still good.
How humbling it would be, having to troll your past-selves in those threads with "put down the wrench and do a search, n00b!" and so on.
