86 Scirocco with turbo for $1250 - gotta say... this one is damn tempting... strip/part the interior to get some extra Challenge budget... get a real seat... then cage/track car post-Challenge... Hmm...

M52 E30 swap... with no price... and needs a new head... I'm sure he's hoping to get what he has into it, or close... Oh well... neat to look at. Why would anyone go through the trouble of swapping the engine in an E30 and not swap out that blasted steering rack?

E46 M3 vert 6 spd... $9600 Wait... HOW much???

E46 '04 modded GTO - $7500 Salvage title, but still... for what I'd want it for, not much of a concern... where's that GRM buyer's guide for these...

'97 M3 - Dakar Yellow - $5500 Another really tempting car I already have some knowledge of. Hate the color, but again - for a cheap track-rat/auto-x car, color is secondary. No pics... Hmm.

'02 Golf TDI - 2 dr - $3500 Honestly, this is probably THE most tempting... since I already own a TDI and more or less know what I'd be getting into. Could be the basis for the FSP/RX/HC car I keep dreaming about... I wonder if DrBoost still has his...

And lastly...

FF Daytona Replica - 56000 - way out of my budget, so pure day-dream candy. Granted, the price is probably less than the build-cost. Whenever I see one of these, I have delusions about using one as a DD... you know - since it has A/C! Although minor things like roll-up window and doors that locked might be nice...

I found a few others... some non-sunroof R53's... a pre-Loyale Subaru 4WD wagon... Acura Integra... etc.

So I can tell you first hand that getting a Daytona to be water tight enough for a daily driver would be quite a lot of work. The kit just isn't engineered with that in mind. I had the same plans for mine when I bought it to fix up but quickly realized that would take a lot of extra work. That being said, it can definitely be done and you should totally buy it.
