You know, sometimes you look and look and look and never find anything worth buying. And then suddenly there's a bunch of things worth buying. That happened to me recently. I bough the TVR a couple weeks ago and don't even have it yet, and then I find a good deal on a '64 Corvair. Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but I've always wanted one, so I think I'll enjoy it for a while and then decide. Sorry for the bad pics. I don't have either car yet, so these are the sellers photos.
I know the feeling. I'm on a resssurrection spree. First the Subaru, then duster, then the p5...
What is the new car? Almost looks like a corvair, but I know it isn't.
That's a really good looking Corvair.
In reply to Woody:
Thanks. The paint isn't as good as it looks in the picture, but it is a solid, unmolested, honest car. Just the way I like them!
I never got the Corvair.....
That is a great looking corvair. I really, REALLY like them. Of the early 60's American "small cars" they are my favorite. I have had the Rambler American and Ford Falcon. I have driven the Valiants, but the 'vair was a better car than all of them. If only there was a decent modern overdrive tans option for them. I would make one my daily driver.
Is that tubular front stock TVR stuff? That looks like part of a tube chassis I might build onto the bulkhead.

... off to learn something about TVRs...
In reply to Huckleberry:
Yes, that's a stock TVR frame.
Congrats! Both cars look great--- and I love that color on the Corvair! There's been a decent looking one for sale around here that has been tempting me.....tiny, crappy pics, but the car looks promising:

Thanks! The car in your link looks like the same car in a different color! But yeah, you really can't tell anything from those pics. This car is just one of those that I've always wanted to own. I may or may not own it for a long time, but it feels good to click one off my automotive bucket list. I think you should go look at it, Joe.
Nice scores!
Ive been on a buying spree of parts lately. Hard to find time to install them though

I just picked up my first corvair....a 65 monza.
Tell me about it. I've been busting my tail working on my MR2 to prepare for rallycross for the last year. I finally got it to where I think it will be reasonable for it make it to its first event. Then I go and buy a whole new rallycross car which I pick up a week before I was planning on debuting the MR2.

Not yet. It's maroon with black interior and a 4 speed. I'm about to put it on the lift and replace the fuel tank, lines, and fix the brakes, so I'll get some pics then. It's not as clean as yours but hopefully with a little tlc it will be.
In reply to Cotton:
Mine's not quite as clean as it looks in the pics, but it is solid. Paint job is a 15 footer, but I think I can bring it back to life a little. The interior is in pretty good condition, but has a rip on the top of the driver's seat back and the top of the rear seat is faded pretty badly. I may try to use dye on it - not sure.

NO, no no, no NO! My driveway is too full already. I need to purge, not add!

Fortunately, my new house doesn't have enough parking for what I have crammed underneath it. It keeps me from buying stuff.
Both cars are looking sharp! I like corvairs but love the TVR!
Here's my Corvair. 42k miles. Missing the turbo motor, though. Got a few 110 engines to choose from and get it going, but I need lots of time.

Well, at least you didn't buy a Spree!
