I have never before seen an autocrossing IH Scout, but after seeing one in action... wouldn't it be something to trailer one car to an autocross, then go out and race the tow rig? apologies if linking to other automotive media outlets is verboten...
holy smokes!
I wonder how that compares to the GRM challenge jeep?
I would guess there's very little left of that car that's actually a Scout.
Chevy s10 with a small lock
Well, it looks like a Scout.

My opinion is, not even close.
The Jeep cornered dead flat. That thing has a ton of body roll.
Every squeal of the tires you hear in that video would have translated to power-to-the-road in the Jeep.
However, I do like it.
Since when does anyone autocross without a helmet?
In reply to SVreX:
Since goodguys. I noticed in the roadkill episode with the turbo Datsun that they weren't wearing helmets also.
This is relevant to our interests, yes.
According to the second video they posted:
The vehicle is an International Harvester Scout II body on a modified S10 chassis that is borrowed from the '47 Chevy truck my Dad and I built - 350 SBC for power backed by a WC T5
It has RideTech Triple Adjustable Coilovers, Swaybar PosiLinks, StrongArms Front Lower Control Arms, and Billet Tie Rod Adjuster Sleeves

Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?

Someone did just that a couple years back at the Rallycross nationals. Flat-towed a Subaru with another Subaru, then both competed.
That's one heck of a good way to save on fuel economy... one Subaru getting 24mpg is like two getting 48mpg!
I see I've been beat to the helmet comment.
Good Guys low speed course, no helmet required.
