in an effort to keep my AADD (automotive attention deficit disorder) in check i managed to trade this:

for this:

part of me wants to put in an LS engine, part of me wants to get a 6.5 turbo diesel, and all of me is for putting it on a P71 rolling chassis. only a small bit of me wants to do it for under $2011 however neither engine would do that as i paid $1100 for the truck i traded for it.

win = it comes with a set of 4 15x7 true spoke wire wheels(real cool old ones that do not have 100 tiny spokes, they have real ones - probably cragars) with nice firestone tires on them, which i have been searching for a set of for years to run on the 54 when the black 17's bore me for a few weeks at a time.

Does it run? It'd be fun to see what you could get out of the I-6 before swapping it.

Very cool find.

My dad had a '53 Chevy wagon when I was little. I remember that you can start the car without the key, as long as the ignition was left in the Off position and not in the Locked position.

the engine is out, he pulled alot of the car apart to have the shell blasted after those pics. i'm picking it up next week sometime and will immediately put things back together enough to start playing doctor with the body.

i dont want to mess with the 235. 125hp in stock form was enough to bore me when my 54 had the original rebuilt engine and powerglide, not going back there again. 0-60 in 21 seconds isnt safe. but 0-110 in 12 is fun.
