funny how a rebuilt AND a used starter can have the same problems as the one that died. Yesterday I finally bit the bullet and bought a new starter for the saab. $170 after the core and the car starts again!

Now I need to button everything back up I removed to get at it and then back the car out of the garage for a good washdown and I can paint

I hate when a "new" faulty part has all the same symptoms as the old faulty part.

It can send you into an expensive loop of diagnostics and throwing more parts at it.

and further and further from being a pain in my backside. I actually kind of had my doubts about the junkyard starter when I got it. It was handed to me wet.. and it had not rained in several days
