After finding the Dart's fuel tank was full of rust, I decided to buy a new one. And as long as I have a bright, shiny, new fuel tank that has no gas fumes in it, I thought I'd weld a Wal-Mart bread pan sump to it. (Well, I say "I", but I got a bit of help from a friend who knows how to TIG to finish the job up after my effort with a MIG had some minor leaks.) Now, how to keep the welds and other work from rusting? I've seen gas tank liner paints, but they are marked "not for use with ethanol", and that's something I might want to try. I talked to an electroplating place and they didn't think that would work either. What do you recommend?
