I would want to see what it adds for weight.. but so far I like what I see
If Subaru said "We're building this and it will look just like this" then I'd pause and try to decide if the price difference between this and the Aerowagon made sense. I have serious doubts that Subaru is actually going to build it, and if they did, make it as sporting as the BRZ is now.
I always wanted an M Coupe shooting brake, and I love wagons, but at this point I don't see myself ever buying anything like this.
My DD will always be a hatch/wagon/truck, and I never intend to DD a sports car again, so I just don't need this much practicality in a sports car anymore.
That said, if the marketing drones are correct about the millenials, they want to live in urban areas and might not have space for a car for every purpose like I do.
I want to sucker punch any twat that uses the term shooting break
I love small wagons/estates as my DD is a C30, but this was a little disappointing in the pics
I like it. The styling isn't much but RWD wagon that is affordable equals win. Plus a little lowering would help a lot IMHO.
Edit: CVT? Yuck.

I use it to mean a 2-door wagon, which is different than a 4-door wagon, which are both different from 3 and 5-door hatchbacks.
And as to this concept, I really like the body (this is what I think the FRiSBReeZ should have been in the first place), but I hate that it's lifted and uses a CVT. If they do make it, hopefully it's easy to put it back to a "proper" ride-height and they offer an odd number of pedals.

It is shooting brake not break

Consider yourself sucker punched
It's right up there with hearing the word 'Bobby', bad accents and phone box jokes. Ggrrrrrr
In reply to Adrian_Thompson:
One could argue this is one of the few accurate uses of the term "shooting brake" as it's an extended roof version of a sports coupe.
The Nissan looks interesting... I "Liked" the FB BRE page as they said Nissan will be watching social media to gauge raction to the car. It's... different... that's for sure... and Nissan's overlords are French and they like different.

Although I prefer and use 'shooting brake', I've seen 'shooting break' used a lot. Makes me wonder about the age of the writer(s).

That's the first thing I thought when I saw the picture.
If that thing is available with a manual and I can drop it back down to (lower than) FRS/BRZ ride height with aftermarket stuff, I'll get in line tonight. (And I'll start shopping for the turbo kit while I'm in line.)
Why are you all talking about lowering it again? If it comes with a manual transmission, it's already the perfect RWD rallycross car right off the showroom floor!
bravenrace wrote: I was thinking I didn't like it, then I saw this... Somehow the BRZ looks a little better now.
I think they did a good job mimicking the original
It's certainly not as nice as the original, but it is about what I would expect when the company that brought you this trys to make a nickle dime.

Except this is a render and will never touch a showroom floor. They actually built this BRZ
I'm partial to wagons that go "hhhhmmmmMMMM"
