USAA INSURANCE SUCKS!!! WORST INSURANCE COMPANY IN THE WORLD.
Unless they are your company. They are notorious for being tough on other parties, and equally known for being great to their own customers. That has been my anecdotal experience with them over the last 4+ years as well.
Man I was super confused by the odds of this. Until I saw the satellite view. Those slight curves can easily catch out the sleepy, intoxicated, or texting drivers and they hit the shoulder or just off the shoulder, overcorrect and Bam!!! Smash!!, Krak!!!
Sucks that you have a marathon of insurance dealings. Maybe you have gained some valuable experience for the future. Hopefully the far off future.

That over correction is exactly what I’ve been thinking.

Every time I see that commercial where the tree falls on the guy's car I think of ebonyandivory now
so maybe they won't do a guardrail, I bet some rumble strips would help. Depending on how well lit the area is, reflectors on the side of the road, like was posted above or the ones inset into the tarmac might help too

Why thank you, I’m flattened!
Yukon is officially a total loss. A guy called me yesterday to tell me he just got through assessing it. Strange to ME was that he was from MY insurance company but was calling on behalf of the OTHER insurance company. Like they’re all the same company or something.
Anyway, he said I should be getting a call either yesterday (which I didn’t) or today, Friday.
Why do I get so anxious waiting for this call???
And to add to this, my title hasn’t even come back from the RMV yet. So I can’t even have it taken away from the shop it’s at and I’ll be damned if I’m paying a dime of storage on this truck.
My plan is to submit quotes for lawn damage, driveway damage and the day off I had to take due to having both my truck AND rental totaled with no way to work.
Does anyone know how to actually submit these estimates? Are they mailed in to the liable insurance company with attention to the person handling my claim?
You should call YOUR insurance and ask about those costs. I think the loss of work is going to be a tough one. I asked about it when my car was totaled AND I wanted compensation for the time lost to search out and purchase a new car. Basically I was told to pound sand. I was told that they have no obligation for those costs only the actual cash value of the vehicle. Oh and they only paid for tax and title they would not pay for registration costs. Again siting what was legally required under mass law.
Lawn and driveway might come under home owners insurance.
Insurance companies/adjusters seem to work together. Once I need the front bumper cover replaced and painted.
I have Farmers insurance but a Progressive adjuster issued me a check. Go figure.

I was told property damage was property damage and it’d all come under the same claim. My question then, would be how do we get them the cost of repairs because unlike my truck, they aren’t sending someone to see my yard. Just to take pictures and get estimates. Just don’t know where or how to send them.
And since they haven’t called yet, I was trying to get ahead of this.
Call some landscaping companies and get free estimates if you want to get ahead of it. If the insurance company jerks you around you can always file a small claim against the driver, depending on how much your time's worth.
Do you have prepaid legal? If so, it's not a whole lot of time or money on your part to take them to court. I wouldn't go that way unless the insurance company jerks you around though.
As long as your expectations are reasonable and you're not in a hurry, shouldn't be a problem to get resolved.
Your time and inconvenience are always sunk costs in matters like these.
Check with your state, sometimes you can turn in the plates from the wrecked truck and they will refund you a pro-rate of the registration fees.
Local newspaper reporter came by to do a story on the crashes at my house. Looking forward to seeing it print!

Bingo! That's how to get stuff done. Reporters love that E36 M3.

Ohhhh you have to post that up!!!
I was so damn aggravated. Obviously by the crashes and the wtf circumstances but even more, which I explained to the reporter in my initial email, was that every GD car that hits a building, every drunk driving crash, makes the news in my area.
Just two days ago, an SUV hits a house in Bridgewater, my town is EAST Bridgewater! And of course it’s all over the news. Same circumstances for the most part. So anyway, I figured this story has more going on than all of those so I fired off an email to the local paper explaining what’s been happening.
At about 2:00 the reporter came by with her photographer and had me squatting down next to the gouges in the lawn (did I mention the Accord seems to have gone airborne too?). He took pictures of the debris and others. She had me text her the pictures of the accident itself too.
Here’s hoping!
So much goofy and horrible info in this thread, it makes me LOL.
As for how to get your damage property to the other carrier, yes, it's that simple. Get an estimate from a contractor and send it to the liability carrier.
Does anyone know whether or not what I paid for my truck in cash will have any impact on the valuation of the payout know that it’s totaled? And am I obligated legally to divulge what I paid for the truck so that they can use that against me in valuation?

Value doesn't have anything to do with paid price. Think if you were having it appraised, no one gives a E36 M3 what you paid. I'd avoid telling them if possible, because that would likely bite you in the ass.
They just offered $32.00 to pay for lawn damage. Which will need loam, seed, a new large shrub and we have gouges in the asphalt.
multiple image hosting
Pictures above of the lawn is a small part of the damage
How'd they miss that hydrant?

No, what you paid for it is irrelevant...but as I said earlier, if you paid more for it than what they're offering, I would definitely divulge it. In that case, given the fact that you literally only owned it a few hours, I would likely be willing to just pay you the amount you paid for it (assuming it wasn't WAAAAY beyond reasonable).
I paid below EVERY other 2005 Yukon Denali in my area by close to if not more than $1,000.
I’m REALLY looking to get what the other vehicles are selling for around me and not the deal I got.
