And we just sent out a promo piece mentioning that fact. Not five minutes later we got the call: That car is blasphemous and you must cancel my subscription.
So we did.
Here's the sales pitch: If you want to see what the fuss is about, you can always subscribe or renew as needed.
Thanks. And wow.
I hope the door didn't hit him in the arse on the way out....
Has this individual been under a rock for like the past 4 years?
The question is- will it still have a hunger for hitting crowds and other vehicles when leaving shows?

Maybe. It's a pretty cool car, though. In fact, we have been following it before the LS swap.
Lets all poke sticks at the nameless douface whos sacred of chevy powered fords, bring on the blasphemy! One reason i enjoy this group and magazine is theres no motor swap to weird to be accepted here

I'm still waiting for someone to do the rotary-powered Mustang.
Not just a Mustang. But a classic Mustang. lol
just accidentally leak the tire test results please!

Well, one should probably look at his roots. Probably from the same family who canceled their Hot Rod subscription when someone dropped a Caddy V8 into a Model A, instead of a flathead V8. Ignoring the scores of people who did the same thing when someone put a SBC into a T-Bucket the first time.
(given where the 305 and 351 ended, and the cost of their aftermarket- putting an LS into that seems like a good, cheap, idea. Like Challenge good)

I should by a '30s Chevy hot rod and but a Ford engine in it.
I know some "purists" like that. It's not worth trying to engage them in conversation about it. It's like religion.

In reply to Tom_Spangler:
When I talk to my neighbor about his C1 Corvettes, it usually ends up being about date codes.
My lottery dream is too buy as many bastardized fords as possible and put them back too ford powered. I understand the ls stuff is cheap and people are scared of the mod motors technology. (Mod using stock ford block and head castings is still a faster 1/4 mile record then a billet block lsx)
The funniest too note in all this is that hotrod received more hatemail in one week for featuring a 68 camaro with a small block ford then they have ever received.
I dont own the cars so do what you want, but dont be suprised when people get angry. Gm built heavy crap platforms so most people in stock suspension drag racing builds foxbody based cars with there motor of choice.
Roundel had to put of with complaints about print coverage of an LS-swapped BMW. Maybe it was the same guy.

That sort of "joke" frustrates me, since apparently its "funny" to joke about running people over and making car culture further clash with those that don't understand it and want it to go away. I'm apparently in the minority, so that's all I'll say about that.
Still, that guy with the SBF shaped stick up his butt seems like he would need something LS powered to remove it.

The great irony of ONE of those LS swapped BMW's which is famous on TV- one of those two guys works for Ford.
It would be great if the other guy worked for Mercedes.

When a Ford 302 can handle over 1000hp on stock block and bottom end, then I will accept that an LS swap into a Mustang is pointless
I am not sure if you're serious or not about the subscription cancellation.
And the reason nobody is going to rotary swap a Mustang is because the RX-7 platform is better.
Hey, at least you're not featuring that poor Firebird that got frankensteined onto a Prius chassis.
You guys should do a non-Ford powered Mustang every issue. Hell, just do a Weird Engine Swap of the Month feature! That will make all of the purists mad!

and because they're already recycling most of the Renesis engines into new LS heads.

You may be in the minority...But you're not alone.

That's factually incorrect. There isn't enough usable metal in a Renesis to reuse as a real engine part. THey are actually being made into PBR containers of the 12oz variety.

There funny thing about that slam is it could be taken as a compliment, as the engine was compact enough not to waste much material.

I like the cut of your jib, sir.
