SoCal Meetup at Irwindale Speedway on Thursday (May 15, 2014)

Who's interested in meeting up this Thursday night (May 15) at Irwindale Speedway?

It's $10 to get in, and $10 more to race all night in the 1/8th mile. Lots of cool cars to watch even if you don't want to race. It's a mix of heavily modded imports, old school muscle cars, dedicated drag race cars, work trucks, and everything in between.

I will be there at ~5:30 PM in either the Apocalypse Wagon or my Fiero. I will stay until at least 8 if nobody shows up, but we'll hang out until 10 PM (when they shut down the drag strip) otherwise.

Gates open at 4PM and tech closes at 9PM. Racing starts at 5.

So.. nobody interested in a car meet or drag racing in SoCal?

I'll say I'm not interested in drag racing. Although my real excuse is I live about 2 hours from there and have work at 6pm

I did get to see global rallycross there last year during the xgames. That was pretty badass
