A friend of mine is thinking of taking the plunge on an EF Civic Si. He had one years ago in college, pretty much stock. Around here it's pretty close to impossible to find a stock one, but one we found has, what seem to be, quality mods and the guy had it set up for autocross purposes rather than racing through the streets of Queens.
On that note, my Honda mod knowlege is pretty limited, so I was hoping the Honda guru's here may be able to weigh in on some of the mods below. Like, what are some of the ones listed (PM-6 ecu, Innovate widband sensor, launch control (?!), data-logging) At worst, he could buy it and sell off some of the modified parts for stock ones, if stock ones exist still...
Mods are listed below:
Exedy Clutch
Suspension Techniques 24mm Rear Sway Bar; no front sway bar.
Koni Yellow/Ground Control: Front Eibach 450lbs; Rear Hypercoil 900lbs
Energy Suspension Master Bushing kit
Moog rear trailing arm bushings; SPS rear camber kit
Bosal Cat, Tanabe cat-back exhaust for CRX with extended pipe
AEM CAI
Innovate Wideband Air-Fuel Ratio sensor with gauge, PM-6 ECU with a flash chip
4000rpm launch control
data-logging
Brembo blank rotors with Hawk HP Plus front pad and Goodridge SS braided lines
Momo Start Seat
Sabelt 12.5" steering wheel
Sparco 4-pt harness
PM6 is the stock ECU for that Civic but the ECU has been modified for reflashing the ECU. All the mods sound good to me.
Good lord that's a huge bar and really stiff rear springs. Definitely a autocross setup. That car should rotate really well.

Those must be them new-fangled Brembo rotors with built-in data logging.
That rear-stiff setup is ballz-to-the-wall on rates, then no front sway bar on top of that. Count me curious, but a bit dubious. I don't think OTS Koni yellows can handle 900lbs/in either.
That said, looks like a fun setup. Just to be comprehensive, I'd want to know how that launch control was setup on the stock ECU.

It's a chipped ECU likely with a re-programmable chip. Think NepTune or Crome.
I'd doubt the Konis would be a problem in the rear. With rates that high, the ass end of that car will never compress more than a half inch.
Launch control is just going to be a 2-step rev limiter. Sounds like it's all business for autocross, but those rear springs are going to be miserable on the street. I'd also make sure that the floor wasn't hacked up to install the seat. Assuming he's looking for a street car and not an autocross car, the rear springs, seat, and harness are the only things that I'd change out. The wideband is just for tuning the ECU, I have no idea what datalogging rotors are.
RE: The datalogging.
Likely an old-school "Ostrich" cable setup. Primitive but works.
I may have forgotten the space/line with data logging! Sorry. Still though, no idea what data is being logged, nor what is logging said data.

It is probably something like this.

Definitely set up for autocross. But it is going to ride like a tail happy truck on the street!
The datalogger is just an RS-232 cable that needs to be plugged into a laptop; in other words, it's for tuning the engine, not for turning faster laps.
Damn I thought this would be a Moderator translation of a honda forums "y0 bro, I hadda hitdtha Naws!!!!!!!"

Sounds like an OBD0 setup. I'm not sure which one exactly, but check out PGM-FI.org or whatever the site is, they have a BIBLE of info.
Also sounds like it would suck to drive on the street.
