Is this worth it? My initial reaction is that the RC51 is worth more. I'd probably just sell the Jeep if I got it. I've reached a cross-roads and don't think that I need the bike and Z06.

Do you know the options and condition of the Jeep? I'm seeing '04 Grand Cherokees for as high as $15K or as low as $3K. Your bike is somewhere in the middle.
If you stand to profit on the Jeep, do it.
I would trade the RC51 if you no longer want it, but I personally wouldn't trade for a Grand Cherokee.
you don't need the bike AND the Z. That's the least intelligible comment I've heard all day. They are two different things for two different uses. Maybe you don't need either?
RC51...semi rare. Might be worth some money in a few years just because there weren't too many to start with and some got used up and thrown away. That's a notable bike if only for the Ducati-like sound. I drove one once and was tired after only 5 miles. It's just too race oriented for my middle-aged bod. It didn't have any more balls at full chat than my FZ1 either
Cherokees like the one you describe are dime a dozen. I wouldn't do it
One of these is an interesting, high quality, well engineered machine. The other is a Jeep. If you want out of RC51 ownership then I guess this is one way to do it but a straight up trade? Something is probably wrong with the Jeep. I would avoid this.

your avatar does not belie your prejudice
If the GC is in good condition and you stand to make money flipping it, then yes.
Otherwise, I'd keep the delicious sounding RC51.
In reply to Carro Atrezzi. Or the OP fomerly known as A401CJ:
2 cylinders in a V, 4 cylinders in a V is obviously better, if I wanted a V-twin I'd probably have an SV or possibly a Moto Guzzi. RC51's are still great but I'm happy with my RC46 since I like a little touring as well as sport.
Haha, it wasn't as if Honda had to switch to 2 cylinders in a V to be competitive, at the time....
By the way, the OP is not A401CJ.
