First time seeing this. Amazing. What a beautiful machine. This should be recreated today, exactly as it is.

There's a guy in California who made at least a dozen fiberglass bodies of this car off of the original design study. My dream is to get one of them and build it and then drive it all the time.
So, was the AMX/3 built on an existing AMC chassis or was it a clean-sheet design?
