I have a quick question. Does any one know if 2007 hyndai sonata 16" wheels will fit on a 2000 Toyota Avalon xls. I know they have the same bolt pattern(?) but am not sure of the offset etc. I think they will fit, but i don't want to find out that they don't. please teach me if you know the answer.
thanks

The Avalon has some big calipers up front. Not sure about clearance there. But the question is.. why?

The hub bore on the hyundai is bigger, so they should fit as long as there is clearance for the brakes.
Plus, A.) It'll mke the Avalon look better and II.) It'll increase the cars durability and longevity, something Toy needs with its newer cars!

Hey now Bobzilla the avalon has been trouble free for the 2 plus years i have owned it. safe, reliable, boring, quiet on the highway, decent fuel economy, voluminous interior and trunk and occasionally entertaining with almost no aftermarket performance tuning potential. just the reason i bought it--so that i don't have to lay awake at night wondering what will make it better. it is the perfect appliance.

another piece of information i found on tire rack for the same wheels(enkei performance T-Fork) but the different cars (avalon & sonata)
Avalon:
Offset: +38mm Backspacing: 5.47" Bolt Pattern: 5-114
Rec. Tire Size:205/60-16
Weight: 18.2lbs.
Sonata:
Offset: +38mm Backspacing: 5.47" Bolt Pattern: 5-114
Rec. Tire Size:215/60-16
Weight: 18.2lbs.
Another example Sport Edition A7:
Avalon:
Offset: +38mm Backspacing: 5.78" Bolt Pattern: 5-114
Rec. Tire Size:205/60-16
Weight: 20.0lbs.
Sonata:
Offset: +50mm Backspacing: 6.25" Bolt Pattern: 5-114
Rec. Tire Size:215/60-16
Weight: 18.5lbs.
It seems to me that in general the sonata has more backspacing but the offsets are similar enough that it should not be a problem. Since i do not understand all the technical implications can one of you wonderful know-it-alls tell me if it is more likely to fit or not. my thinking is that since it has more backspacing it is more likely to fit but ia m willing to learn thanks all.

Just poking fun at you! All the Avalon's I see are driven by whitehairs

i know, the average age of avolon buyers was 60 something. at least it is lower thatn that of the S-class--but the S class to me is waaaayyyy coooler though not worth 3 times (plus) the price of an avalon
