Can I say it seems like they are already played out? I mean I dunno, They seem like it's the only japanese performance car that ever gets any press. I'd much rather see a Pulsar GTIr, Evo 1-3, or something like that.
I went to an autocross up in Canada and there was a Sunny/Pulsar GTI-R...those things are awesome. Everyone knows the Skylines; I definitely like the idea of a more oddball car.

Import one of those, you'll get press .
I'm a fan of the GT-R and I would also be a fan of the Pulsar, Evo, etc. Lots of good cars hitting the 25 year mark.

I just wanna import a kei van. They are so awesome and can even be had in 4wd which would be hysterical on a trail.
I'm pretty sure I saw an R32 Skyline on the streets here in Wichita in the last week. Which was very odd to me. Personally I'd probably stick with a RWD unit to get the weight and complexity down a bit. I also have this silly idea of, if I had cubic yards of money to do whatever with, building a Cobra replica with an RB26DETT seems like a fun idea. No side piles and a Nissan burger emblem instead of the AC/Cobra job you'd normally expect.
OT: What kind of crazy user name is "pav5069"?

Getting parts for those things must be a royal pain. Where do you buy a headgasket for an RB26DETT? I'm sure getting stuff for the ATESSA all-wheel-drive system must be even worse.
But I love me some R32. I've actually thought about importing a rear-wheel-drive model, selling the RB and transmission to some ricer, and putting an LS V8 and Tremec under it. Then you wouldn't have to worry about parts!
I'm left hand retarded, no way could I even think about driving something RHD. I'd love a clean R32 to look at though.

You overnight those from Japan, naturally .
Or get them from the UK until the aftermarket here catches up.
If I was going through the trouble of importing something I wouldn't want to see three more of them when I go out. I'd get one of those snail looking Nissan vans or a crew cab Hiace.
If I have to sell my E36, an R32 GTS-t would be a good replacement. I may look at buying one from Canada since they may be readily available.
I love that Hilux Surf that they already sold. That would be so cool and under the radar. It is kind of odd to see the same price for an Integra and a GTS-T. The RHD would definitely take some getting used to, I would imagine, but I bet the Nissan's/Honda's/Toyota's wouldn't be too hard for basic parts (especially if you have a specialty shop nearby).
Edit: must include link: Diesel, manual Hilux Surf

Conjunction of "PRESton Tucker" and the prototype 589 engine his team worked up for the Torpedo. Came up with it a long time ago and I continue to use it for online stuff like this forum.
