I got my final notice this weekend that my subscription is going to end and due to situations beyond my control(well the kid on way was 1/2 my fault), I cannot justify reupping my subscription. It looks like this house sale will cost me about $22k total and that doesn't include the move. I've been a subscriber since college about 7-9 years. I was hooked when I picked up my first issue at the local bookstore that had the clowns cosworth powered MGB profile in it. I remember a long time ago, I sent an email to Per trying to get him to cover the RIT mini baja team at the Baja event @ UCF. I'll never forget his response., it was good.
Anyways.. I'll still wear my hat and rock the shirt, but no magazines for a bit. You've got a good product, just wish I could support it more.
When times are hard, go to Barnes and Noble and read it there. At least that's what I do. You'll be back on your feet and reading GRM in the comfort of your own bathroom in no time.

Can you cover postage for me to mail it up to you and you mail it back? Don't mind the sticky pages, i swear they come to me like that.

Mailing it back and forth will cost roughly $4.40 for the round trip. I would be cheaper to buy a sub at that point.
bookstore magazine rack FTW.

That's fine and all, but if you post about "eating" and "drinking fluids" I'll know you have at least some money to burn.
I hope things turn around for you soon!

Thanks.. I'm in between jobs, selling a house and having a kid. I just can't justify paying for a magazine subscription now. The new job starts in June. Maybe in a year I'll be able to subscribe again.

I have several years left on my 10 year. Could you move a year of mine over to Ignorant?
If this causes the subscription software universe to collapse, then I guess that would be bad though.

That's a nice offer. Let me see.....Ign'nt, email me your name/address.
i'd kick in a few bucks towards another year to keep this guys sub going. guy's gotta have something to read during those sleepless nights with the new kiddo. even if he is a bleeding heart liberal shiny happy person
Socialists!
My wife and I each get a copy (NASA members, doncha know). I'd be more than happy to donate the extra copy to someone else.
Thanks for the many generous offers. As much as my posts sometimes try to indicate the opposite(and a good deal of my earlier life), I've always lived my life with the pay it forward/karma bank methodology and it does work.
Now.. If you guys would only make a GRM onesie so I can influence grandparents to purchase.
How about a "Newborn/Infant subscription renewal special" A GRM burp cloth, A GRM 2T tshirt and a 12 month subscription for all of us responsible for the class of 2016/2017

Magazine worthy (and its exactly what I was thinking too)!

Per,
Pull a year or two from my 10 year subscription and pass it over to ignorant. The cost per issue on a 10 year is way lass than a one year so if you need a place to make up the difference just let me know.
If through the generosity of others Ignorant is all set the offer stands for anyone that is in need of a "GRM stimulus plan" .
potential and unintentional flounder alert:
how much would it cost if the gubmint had to step in to get ignorant another year of GRM?

Of course, at that point, you can ONLY read it on the loo.
And someone would have to step down.
maybe we can have a rotating duty to send Ignorant our already read bathroom copies?

Who's gonna fumigate them?
I LOVE THIS PLACE!
everyone here rocks so hard...you all deserve a good pat on the back...(not to bandwagon here, but I too would have offered a year of my 10 year subscription if other generous souls hadn't thought of it first.)
Karma, pass it on.
It is pretty darn nice of everybody.
