So there's an ad on craigslist for a set of Sparko rims. I emailed the guy to ask him if it was a typo and if they are Sparco's. He says that they have been painted (would currently need to be stripped and refinished) and he was told when he bought them that they were Sparko's. I looked around online but couldn't find anything about Sparko rims.
Has anybody heard of a rim company by the name of Sparko?
Sounds like your typical Craigslist monkey...

If the rims are in good shape and aren't heavy then they are probably worth it. They look like the ones I had on my Sundance for a while. Very nice looking.

Maybe they are "knock off brand"?

That was my thought but I wasn't able to confirm online and the seller doesn't seem to know.
If they are knock off should I be concerned with build quality?

^ I would be....worried.
or if it for a challnage car, then I wouldn't worry, it only needs to alst one weekend.
Would there be any identifying marks on the rims to know if they are the real thing or knock offs?

I wouldn't be worried if they are knock off rims. There are tons of companies making rims and likely many of them are made in the same factories from the same molds. Rota, Drag, Eagle etc are reallly knock offs of other rims and they seem ok (well rotas aren't always round)
sparko sounds like the name of some 1940's robot thing from a GM motorama or something.
