April is "Member’s Month" at SCCA's Track Night in America. That means if you are an SCCA member and sign up for an April Track Night in America event before March 31, it will only cost $50—that's for about an hour of track time. And if you aren't an SCCA member yet, you can become one and register for an …

This is EXTREMELY tempting. Looks like the only one near me in April is Thompson - I kinda wish it were Palmer, but I suppose I'll settle. Now the question is, buy a rollbar for the Miata or take the Focus?
I joined, and if I can get out of a work trip, I may be able to do April at Pitt Race! (Watch BOTH flag stations for the checker. Watch BOTH flag stations for the checker...)
50???? Where do i sign up for that price? Even if the challenge car isnt ready, ill run the elky.
You guys will definitely have fun.
Damn. There's one at Atlanta Motorsports Park in April. Haven't done a track day in years. Do they use the broomstick test for 'verts? Wonder if my NC could go without needing to add a roll bar...
No events at Putnam or NCM this year? Dangit that makes me over 4 hours to the nearest one and a full vacation day.
None at Summit. Darn. Nearest is Jersey, 3 hours, and Pitt, 5 hours.

Same dilemma. 9 hours of round-trip driving for a short stint of track day in the middle, in the evening. I'd rather pay for a full PDX and have the whole day to enjoy. (Putnam was fun last year)

okay, I am going to get my brother to do it with me in his SRT 8 Challenger. No roll bar on the daily driver Answer Thunderhill is the Nor Cal one I think, but maybe Monterey or Napa,
Couple stupid questions. Looking over the rules it looked like a roll bar was only required for convertibles with no factory roll protection. A factory hard top would meet all the requirements right? Also, I saw nothing about if transponders were required?

There's no timing, so no transponders are required.
Looks like I'll be hitting up the PittRace evening.
I just tried to sign up for the April event at PIR and it's coming up $100. I'm an SCCA member and everything is accurate in my profile. Anybody else having an issue?
Did you take it right up to the point of billing? At some point on mine, the $100 had a line through it, and there was a $50.
So if I was already a paid SCCA member, it's $50 for an April event? I'm not, so if I pay $90 to sign up for SCCA membership, then an April TNIA event is $100, correct?

I'm at the checkout screen where I have to input my CC number, still $100. I've logged out and back in, called SCCA (they had me leave a voicemail this morning), and emailed "Jack" (about 20 minutes ago). I'm afraid it's going to fill up!
